APRIL 28: DAY -10

Who could believe it? "Suite meetings" already. But it sure didn't take long. The participants and in some cases their parents got together with a staff member and went through a "who is bringing what" checklist. It was clear in all four groups that there would be no lack of "stuff."

Some of the basics were reviewed...when do we move in, where can parents park their cars...and we had all overlooked that May 9 is also Mother's Day. But there is a lot to be done at Carleton on the first full day after moving in. So, the general consensus was celebrate Mom next Sunday. Although one Mom said "we can celebrate that after the project."

After all the questions were answered, Julie handed out copies of a draft proposal for an actual physical housing model. The room was suddenly a buzz of discussion, with staff fielding questions from every direction. It was a lot to take in, but everyone took a copy home to think about it. The timing is good, because whatever happens in the project will have an impact on changes to the physical model. It's all very exciting!
