It’s Giving Tuesday!

GivingTuesday is Canada’s National Giving Day!

Most people know about Black Friday and Cyber Monday…now GivingTuesday is coming to Canada on November 29, 2016! It is a new Canadian movement for giving and volunteering, taking place each year after Cyber Monday.

This “Opening day of the giving season” is a day where charities, companies and individuals join together to share commitments, rally for favourite causes and think about others.

The countdown is on to GivingTuesday this November 29th, and with only one week left, the team at CanadaHelps is excited to launch a one week countdown contest celebrating all things giving. Starting today and running until November 28, they will be randomly selecting a daily winner who shares an #unselfie of themselves online.

Winners will receive a $100.00 CanadaHelps Charity Gift Card to donate to their favourite charity using CanadaHelps.org!

What is an #unselfie? An #unselfie is a photograph of yourself which showcases a charitable act you’ve performed or are committing to do, in an effort to inspire others to do the same (see the image as an example).

How can you win? Here’s how to enter:

1) Print off an #unselfie template.
2) Write what you’ll be doing to celebrate GivingTuesday.
3) Take a photo holding up your #unselfie pledge.
4) Tweet to @CanadaHelps or post on their Facebook wall using #GivingTuesdayCA.
