LiveWorkPlay & Giving Tuesday (November 27): After Black Friday & Cyber Monday, A Time To Give!

 

Giving Tuesday is a National Giving Day!

Most people know about Black Friday and Cyber Monday…now Giving Tuesday is coming to Canada on November 27, 2018! It is a new Canadian movement for giving and volunteering, taking place each year after Cyber Monday.

This “Opening day of the giving season” is a day where charities, companies and individuals join together to share commitments, rally for favourite causes and think about others. It’s also a good time to think about year-end tax planning. You can wait until the last week of December, but you don’t have to, you can start now!

“We have two days that are good for the economy. Now we have a day that is good for the community too.”

LiveWorkPlay will host Giving Tuesday campaigns at liveworkplay.ca as well as our Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube channels. We’ll be participating in media events, and will also build connections with the International Day of Persons with Disabilities on December 3.

LiveWorkPlay helps the community welcome people with intellectual disabilities to live, work, and play as valued citizens. We support access to housing, employment, and the full range of community engagement including learning, leisure, and reciprocal relationships with other citizens.
