Family Support Network for Employment Releases Final Webinar Series Episode “Mobilizing Change” (Includes Panelist Keenan Wellar, LiveWorkPlay)

The Family Support Network for Employment, with support from the Province of Ontario Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services Employment and Modernization Fund, and in partnership with the Brockville and District Association for Community Involvement (BDACI) has launched a series of short videos and full webinar.

The project has gathered relevant data on employment barriers for people with a developmental disability from the perspective of families and self-advocates. This project has connected with families from across the province, analyzing successful and unsuccessful experiences and strategies, creating new knowledge and resources to share, and advocating for innovative, evidence-based practices.

The webinar below “Mobilizing Change” is the third in a series, highlighting best practices from across Canada and identifying the need for allies to mobilize change.

SPEAKERS:

Bruce Uditsky from Inclusion Alberta, Keenan Wellar from LiveWorkPlay in Ottawa, and Brad Horne from Community Living Parry Sound.

FACILITATOR:

Kimberley Gavan, Executive Director at Brockville District Association for Community Involvement.
